Sue Roberts has lived and worked in Cardiff for the past thirty years.

 

She was brought up in England, Canada, California, Borneo and the Philippines where her father was teaching English.

 

She moved to Wales 30 years ago with her partner who is Welsh. She studied at Glyntaf and then moved to UWIC  to do a BA and MA in Fine Art, completing her formal studies in 2003. She taught drawing at Llanover Hall in Cardiff for 15 years subsidising her studio, but left this year to concentrate on her own work.

 

She is a member of The Welsh Group, Vice Chair in Sculpture Cymru, a committee member of the Women’s Arts Association, and a member of both Cardiff Drawing Group and The Vale of Glamorgan Artists.

 

In 2014 she and two other artists have formed a new group  called 3ormore. It is an exhibiting group which invites other artists to show with them. Sue Roberts has received grants from the Arts Council of Wales including a production grant to make work.
